Support a New U.S. Middle East Policy!

America's longstanding policy toward Israel and Palestine has been a disaster that has mired our nation in regional conflict, implicated us in catastrophic violations of international law, and only undermined the security of all peoples in the region. We need a fundamental transformation that puts American national interests first, reflects our foundational values of liberty and equality, and complies with our own laws governing arms transfers and security assistance. This means ending unconditional support for policies that perpetuate occupation and human rights violations, conditioning military aid on compliance with international law, and supporting Palestinian self-determination. A truly pro-American foreign policy would advance peace and prosperity for all peoples while strengthening our credibility and relationships across the Middle East.

The erosion of free speech and constitutional rights at home is directly connected to our failed foreign policy abroad—when bad policies overseas become bad policies at home, they threaten the very freedoms that make America strong. We're seeing unprecedented efforts to shut down legitimate debate before it can even start, from anti-BDS laws that punish Americans for exercising their First Amendment rights to campus speech restrictions that silence students and faculty. Protecting our constitutional freedoms isn't just about preserving democracy—it's essential for enabling the open, honest debate that America needs to develop better policies that truly serve our interests and values. We cannot have a free and fair discussion about foreign policy if we allow domestic laws and regulations to criminalize dissent and peaceful advocacy.
