Businessman and technology entrepreneur Alec Ryncavage is currently serving his second term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing Luzerne County’s 119th Legislative District. A lifelong resident of the Wyoming Valley, Alec first entered public service in 2019 when he was elected to Plymouth Borough Council at just 18 years old — becoming the first Republican elected to that position in nearly five decades.
In 2022, Ryncavage launched an insurgent campaign for the State House and scored a major upset, defeating an establishment Republican in the primary before going on to defeat the Democratic nominee in the general election. His victory flipped the 119th Legislative District Republican for the first time in its history.
In Harrisburg, Alec serves on the Consumer Affairs, Transportation, Finance, Gaming Oversight, and Local Government Committees, where he has built a reputation as a strong advocate for taxpayers, economic growth, and accountable government.
As both a legislator and entrepreneur, Alec has made it his mission to invest in the future of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Northeastern Pennsylvania powered this nation for generations, and Alec is committed to making sure our communities thrive in the next era of economic growth. His focus is on bringing new investment and opportunity to our towns so the next generation can succeed right here at home, while protecting those who built this region and ensuring they can continue to live with dignity and security as times change.
