Rep. April Berg is running for re-election to Position 2 in the 44th Legislative District. She is a former small business owner, former director in the Everett School District, and a planning commissioner for the City of Mill Creek. She currently serves as chair of the House Finance Committee, where she plays a lead role in efforts to close tax loopholes and balance our state's upside-down tax code.
Since joining the Legislature in 2020, Berg has been a consistent and reliable progressive voice. This past session, she sponsored House bills on many progressive priorities, including companion legislation for the Millionaires Tax and removing a tax exemption on equipment replacements for data centers. Although it did not pass this session, Berg sponsored a bill to establish a primary residence property tax exemption aimed at preventing displacement and housing instability. She continues to vote favorably in support of key progressive priorities, including rent stabilization, gun safety measures, and environmental reforms. Her re-election campaign will continue to prioritize affordable housing options, educational funding, and healthcare access.
April Berg has more than earned your vote to serve another term for state House in the 44th Legislative District.
