Michigan's Progressive Voter Guide
Dirigido por Justin Mendoza · 5 votantes
Callie Barr is a fifth-generation Michigander and attorney who is running for her first term to represent northern Michigan’s 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House.
Barr believes that you deserve an affordable life and is ready to take on the fight for universal healthcare, good paying jobs, and a full fridge. As the wife of a disabled veteran she is a fierce advocate for veterans and their families.
Barr has been endorsed by the following progressive partner organizations: American Federation of Teachers - Michigan, Michigan Education Association, Michigan AFL-CIO,
Barr’s opponent in this race is Republican incumbent Representative Jack Bergman who refuses to hold town halls with his constituents and has faced criticism due to his lack of presence in the district . Bergman also voted in favor of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" which stripped many Michiganders of Medicaid and SNAP benefits.
Callie Barr is the most progressive choice in this race.
