Chris is running because he believes a better Michigan is possible: affordability for everyone, a state government that works for regular people, and real investments in our communities, not just corporations. He's not taking any corporate money, so you can count on him to fight for universal health care and childcare, publicly-owned power, and truly affordable housing.

Gilmer-Hill has three main priorities: affordability, community investment, and accountable government. On affordability, he wants to hold DTE Energy accountable for outages and rate hikes while pushing toward publicly-owned power, expand tenant protections and affordable/public housing, and back single-payer healthcare along with expanded dental/vision/hearing coverage. On community investment, he'd protect state programs serving vulnerable communities, expand revenue sharing to cities, and boost public school funding. On government accountability, he supports getting corporate money out of Michigan politics, refuses donations from corporate and conservative PACs (including AIPAC, DTE, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield), and emphasizes staying engaged with constituents year-round, not just during elections.
