Christian Vukasovich is a college professor, union member, and labor organizer who is running for his first term in the U.S. House in Michigan’s 5th Congressional District.
Describing himself as “a proud son of immigrant parents,” Vukasovich is a published expert on foreign policy, health communication, and extremist discourse, He’s running for Congress to bring common sense and community-based values back to Washington. His priorities include restoring economic prosperity for working families, protecting affordable healthcare and housing, building a skills-based education system, and safeguarding constitutional rights and freedoms—all with a focus on putting people first over corporate and billionaire interests.
Vukasovich's opponent in this race is Republican incumbent Representative Tim Walberg who is endorsed by President Donald Trump, and in previous elections by the NRA. Walberg voted in favor of the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" which stripped many Michiganders of Medicaid and SNAP benefits.
Christian Vukasovich is the most progressive choice in this race.
