Daniel BissDaniel Biss

Our Revolution is proud to endorse Daniel Biss for Congress in Illinois’ 9th District — a proven progressive leader who has spent his career taking on entrenched power, delivering real change, and fighting for a government and an economy that work for working people.

Under his leadership, Evanston has seen meaningful drops in its gun violence rates, stemming in large part from the local prevention efforts and community-based solutions that Mayor Biss has supported, including the city’s new safe storage requirements that he championed during his first term.

"I'm honored to have the endorsement of the state workers and educators in the Illinois Federation of Teachers. I will stand with educators and state workers defending democracy to challenge all of the ways President Trump is attacking our state, whether that’s denying funds to our schools, diverting them to private vouchers, or trampling our constitutional rights. I will make sure working families, not billionaires, are the priority in Congress."

Covers most of the 46th Ward (Uptown / Buena Park). Open seat — Rep. Jan Schakowsky is retiring.
