Darryn Harris currently teaches at Santa Monica College (not a LACCD campus, though) and has experience working in Congress as an aide to Sydney Kamlager and Karen Bass (Washington D.C. era). His website is sparse in terms of a platform, but he cites wanting to build more low-cost housing on LACCD land, bringing more funding into the district before turning to cuts, and making student enrollment more accessible. He lists endorsements from UTLA, AFT 1521, and the Working Families Party. The labor and organizational backing makes Darryn the clear choice in this race.

He worked in congress as a chief of staff during the ACA fight, and then he became a nonprofit leader and he's the only one with endorsements we care about https://voyagela.com/interview/an-inspired-chat-with-darryn-harris-of-downtown-la-highlight/
