Rep. Davina Duerr is running for re-election to Position 1 representing the 1st Legislative District. Duerr has served in the state House since 2019 and previously on the Bothell City Council. Duerr also founded the M.I.L.K. Money campaign to support Northshore students experiencing homelessness. During the past two legislative sessions, Duerr voted in favor of several progressive bills that sought to increase protections for our most vulnerable residents. Duerr voted to prohibit the manufacture and sale of ghost guns, promote transit-oriented housing development, and expand support for students experiencing homelessness. In 2026, she co-sponsored a bill to establish regulations for AI companion chatbots, aimed at protecting users' mental health. In 2024, The Urbanist praised Duerr's work in advancing progressive housing policy, and Duerr was recognized in their annual legislative hero round-up for four years straight. While her re-election campaign priorities have yet to be published as of early October, her record speaks to her continued commitment to representing the needs of the 1st Legislative District. Rep. Duerr has been a reliable progressive advocate in the House and has earned another term in Legislative District 1, Position 1.
