Senator Deborah Krishnadasan is running for re-election to the Washington State Senate in the 26th Legislative District. She was appointed to the state Senate in 2024 to fill the vacancy created when Emily Randall was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, and later won election in 2025 to complete the remainder of Randall's term. Krishnadasan's campaign is focused on lowering costs, funding education, and expanding healthcare access. In the Legislature, Krishnadasan has voted to increase funding for Washington’s public schools, including investments to address staffing shortages and strengthen student support services. She has supported legislation to expand anti-discrimination protections in schools, helping to ensure students are protected in educational settings regardless of identity. She has also voted to protect access to reproductive healthcare in Washington by prime-sponsoring a bill to safeguard protections for patients in need of emergency pregnancy care and miscarriage management. During her time in office, she has focused on policies that support education funding and healthcare access, and on maintaining existing protections for families and students. We recommend Senator Krishnadasan for state Senate in the 26th Legislative District.
