2026: Emma Greenman is running for re-election to the Minnesota State House representing the South Minneapolis District 63B. As a state representative, and throughout her career, Emma is working to build a democracy and an economy that centers the needs of kids, families, communities and those too often left at the margins. As a national voting rights lawyer and state representative, Emma is leading Minnesota’s fight to protect our voting rights and freedoms from the out-of-control federal government that threatens our state and our democracy. She has worked around the country on the front lines of the fight to defend our embattled democracy and ensure that people, not big corporations or wealthy interests, are the ones calling the shots. Emma co-founded the nation’s first Inclusive Democracy Caucus in the Minnesota Legislature and authored the Democracy for the People Act, a landmark bill that protects the freedom to vote, gets big money out of politics, and strengthens inclusive, multi-racial gender-inclusive democracy in Minnesota. She’s fighting to unrig our economy and put power back in the hands of workers, consumers, farmers, and small businesses. She passed legislation to empower workers and keep them safe, to protect access to contraception in Minnesota, and created the Minnesota Climate Innovation Finance Authority to drive state investments in rapidly expanding an equitable transition to a clean energy future. When re-elected, she will continue to fight to put power back in the hands of the people and create a Minnesota where everyone thrives, no exceptions.
