Esther Agbaje is running for re-election to continue representing District 59B in the MN House of Representatives. The district covers essentially a microcosm of Minnesota from the very wealthy to those struggling everyday to survive. Esther Agbaje is a lawyer who advocates for tobacco control policies and climate justice policies in public housing. In her previous practice she helped secure Hepatitis C medication for Minnesota prisoners. In the legislature she championed laws to even the playing field for tenants, secured protections for patients seeking and doctors providing reproductive care in Minnesota, and passed the CROWN Act so that all people can show up as their full selves at work and at school. She also works to ensure that more birthing people in Minnesota have access to culturally competent maternal care including midwives. In her fourth term, she will work to use the power of the state to keep our families safe from ICE, get corporate interests out of government services, and support efforts to make life more affordable for more Minnesotans.
