Dr. Felicia Brabec is running for the Michigan State Senate after serving four years in the Michigan House and nine years on the Washtenaw County Commission.
Brabec has a doctorate in clinical psychology and a master’s degree in clinical social work. She has put her skills and experience to work in elected roles, where she has championed increased investment in mental health services. As a state representative, she often cast the deciding vote on legislation that protected the rights of workers and voters; expanded access to physical and mental healthcare; and invested in education, public safety, and infrastructure.
If elected to the Senate, Brabec hopes to continue her work on these issues, as well as criminal justice reform, gun violence prevention, and lowering the cost of living.
Brabec has been endorsed by the following progressive partner organizations: American Federation of Teachers - Michigan, Equality Michigan, Michigan AFL-CIO, Sierra Club - Michigan, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Michigan Association for Justice, the Committee to Protect Health Care, meets criteria for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, and Service Employees International Union - Michigan.
Brabec’s opponent in this race is Jason Rogers.
Dr. Felicia Brabec is the most progressive choice in this race.
