Frank Lafata is a Democrat running for his first term as representative for House District 92. Raised in Rockford, Lafata and his family overcame several challenges when he was young, including health issues and a house fire. The generosity he received at an early age inspired him to “pay it forward” and give back to his community throughout his life. He worked for many years as a skilled trades carpenter, helping build schools, businesses, and more. He now lives in Greenville with Marilee, his wife of 35 years. Lafata supports policies that would help family farmers, make life more affordable, regulate AI, and expand healthcare access. Lafata has been endorsed by the following progressive partner organizations: Equality Michigan Action Network, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan Lafata is running against Republican incumbent Pat Outman. Outman espouses right-wing views on many issues and has developed a conservative voting record in his years in the legislature. Outman has also been endorsed by Right to Life of Michigan, an anti-choice organization. Frank Lafata is the most progressive choice in this race.
