Jocelyn Torres is a Stanly County native, currently residing in Albemarle, NC. She is also a first-generation graduate from UNC Greensboro with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Psychology. Community service is something she has always been passionate about. While attending UNCG, she volunteered with several non-profit organizations, including Real World English, a program that teaches English and literacy skills to adults and their children. In addition, she had the opportunity to intern for Former Congresswoman Kathy Manning during her 2022 campaign. Currently, she is employed with Stanly County Schools as an Instructional Assistant. In her free time, she enjoys attending community events and spending time with family and friends. She is running for North Carolina's House because she has a strong calling to service. She said, “I see the immense potential of District 67 as positive changes begin to take shape. I want to be a voice for all the inhabitants of Stanly and Montgomery counties.”
