This is one of the most important races in Florida when it comes to the environment. There are a lot of environmental laws already on the books that are not being enforced by the current attorney general, James Uthmeier. James is basically letting polluters and developers have their way all over Florida. Jose could actually enforce those laws and hold polluters accountable. This would be EXTREMELY POSSITIVE for Florida and for environmental protection. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Why I'm voting for José Javier Rodríguez

His background stands out to me — as a workers' rights attorney, his history is defending everyday people rather than employers, which matters to me. He's also focused on lowering grocery costs, a real issue for regular families right now. And in a time when some people still deny climate change is real, it's meaningful that he's actually taken action on it.

That's backed up by his record: as a state senator, he filed more climate-related bills than any other lawmaker in the legislature — 5 in a single session, part of about 20 over three years. Most impressively, he got Senate Bill 178 signed into law, which requires coastal developments receiving state funds to study sea-level rise risk before building. He did this as a member of the minority party, working across the aisle to get it passed and signed by a Republican governor — real, verified follow-through, not just talk.

He's also currently the only Democratic option on the ballot for this seat.
