Julie Greene is running for re-election to represent Edina and Bloomington in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Her focus on protecting fundamental human rights, specifically reproductive rights, strengthening democracy, and building a public education system where every student can thrive drives her work. A champion of student voice, Greene serves on both Education Policy and Finance Committees. She also serves on the Transportation Policy and Finance committee working to build a vital link between transportation access, economic and environmental health, and public safety. In Minnesota’s closely divided House, Greene earned bipartisan support for key bills, and passed legislation curbing costly abuse of public data requests and securing $1M in grants to help school districts enhance emergency response plans with entry boxes. Greene was elected as Assistant Floor Leader in her first term, and serves on the Education Committees of the National Conference of State Legislatures and the Council of State Governments, and sits on the Board of Directors for ServeMN. Before joining the legislature, Greene worked as a public relations and marketing strategist for companies and nonprofits and has been a steadfast advocate for gun violence prevention. She and her husband Jon live in Edina with their four kids.
