Junie JosephJunie Joseph

In the Legislature, Junie has worked on climate resilience, community safety, housing, education, and other issues affecting working families.

Junie Joseph is running for re-election to the Colorado State Senate in District 10. She was unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 30, and is unopposed in the general election. She says, “As a lawyer and a minority small business owner I have used my tenacity and problem-solving skills to support evidence-based, humane solutions to challenges like disparities in our criminal justice system, homelessness, and climate justice. I have leaned on my life experience of being born in Haiti and immigrating to the United States to fight for social justice and human rights issues at the capitol. And I leaned on my lived experience as a working-class woman and a Person of Color living in the US, who has navigated many difficult places and spaces in order to get to where I am today. I am deeply committed to social justice, human rights and the plight of all people, especially those who are marginalized.” Rep. Joseph is a Christian and ally of our community.
