Karina Wallace is a grassroots Democrat challenging Republican incumbent Joe Schmick to represent the 9th Legislative District. Wallace previously worked in domestic violence shelters and the DSHS Job Center, guiding people through the hardest times of their lives. She is running to represent working class families and those with disabilities and chronic illness, like herself.

While her platform is light on policy ideas, Wallace is running a compassionate campaign focused on accountability and protecting the working class. She believes in dignity and equity for all, regardless of background, race, or zip code. The three pillars of her platform are: paycheck protection, disability and chronic illness care access, and lobbyist accountability.
