Kathryn Lewandowsky is a Democrat challenging Rep. Sam Low in the 39th Legislative District. Lewandowsky serves as vice-chair of the board of Whole Washington, a grassroots organization fighting for universal healthcare in Washington, and is the former local unit chair for the state nurses’ union.

Lewandowsky has a strong foundation in progressive values and community leadership. In this race, they have taken a "patients over profits" pledge, limiting what donations they will accept from Big Pharma and the corporate healthcare industry. Lewandowsky’s platform centers on housing, healthcare, and climate change. They want to improve the health and safety of the district by increasing access to prescription medicine, clean air and water, stable housing, and nutritious food, among other basics. Lewandowsky also advocates against hate and prejudice, fighting to uplift others. They were the recipient of the 2021 Snohomish County Human Rights Award, demonstrating their commitment to serving their community.
