Khristian Silvis is a Democrat running for her first term as representative for House District 84. Silvis’s career has been dedicated to service. After serving as an Army combat medic in Afghanistan, she later worked for Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney before moving to Grand Rapids and serving as U.S. Representative Hillary Scholten’s District Director. She wants to bring that same commitment to service to the Michigan House. If elected to the Michigan House, she plans on supporting policies that benefit workers, first responders, her fellow veterans, the environment, and people in need of healthcare. Silvis has been endorsed by the following progressive partner organizations: Equality Michigan Action Network, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Michigan Association for Justice, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan Silvis is running against Republican Drew Jake Robbins, who developed a conservative voting record on the Grand Rapids City Commission.
