EMILYs List recruits, trains and supports Democratic pro-choice women candidates at every level of the ballot. By helping to elect these women to office in 2025 and 2026, we’re not only building a foundation for the future, but we’re also putting strong women in charge of decisions that affect women and families every day — from the legislators who write laws to the attorneys general who defend and enforce them to the secretaries of state who ensure access to the ballot.

Rep. Lucy Rehm is the first female DFL state lawmaker to represent Carver County. She is a mom of three, former Chanhassen city councilor and a former EFL teacher who lived in Japan for several years after graduating college. She was elected to the MN House in 2022 and 2024. She is the vice chair of Transportation, and also serves on the Public Safety and Education Finance committees. She has been a strong advocate for women and girls and has championed reproductive healthcare rights legislation throughout her time in the legislature.
