Matt Robinson is a union carpenter and community advocate who is working to flip a seat in the Iowa State House. Growing up in poverty and continuing on as a proud working-class Iowan, Matt knows what it takes to get the job done. He's ready to speak up for the everyday Iowan and demand a raise to the minimum wage, restoration of collective bargaining rights, improved access to affordable housing, funding for schools, and the upholding of basic human rights of all Iowans.

MattRobinson is a young union carpenter who knows what it means to live paycheck to paycheck. As a lifelong Iowan, Matt benefited from an Iowa public school education. Matt is running because he believes it shouldn’t be so hard for working families like yours. In Des Moines, Matt will work hard for Iowans by fighting to raise the minimum wage, restore collective bargaining for Iowa’s public employees, expand access to affordable childcare, and restore adequate funding to our public schools.

If you see him around town, you will likely see Matt sporting his large cowboy hat, so remember, on Nov. 3rd, “Big Hat Vote Matt.”
