Dr. Racquel “Rockee” Armstrong is running to become the next state representative for Arizona Legislative District 13, representing Chandler, Sun Lakes, and Gilbert. A former teacher, school administrator, cancer survivor, and a current professor of education, Rockee is running because Arizonans deserve equal access to quality education, high wage jobs, and sustainable infrastructure to support a thriving economy and excellent quality of life.

EMILYs List recruits, trains and supports Democratic pro-choice women candidates at every level of the ballot. By helping to elect these women to office in 2025 and 2026, we’re not only building a foundation for the future, but we’re also putting strong women in charge of decisions that affect women and families every day — from the legislators who write laws to the attorneys general who defend and enforce them to the secretaries of state who ensure access to the ballot.

Dr. Racquel “Rockee” Armstrong is an assistant professor at Arizona State University, a former school administrator, and a dedicated community leader running to flip a key seat in the Arizona House. She has pledged to fight to maintain a diverse energy supply to help keep utility rates down, lower health care costs, ensure first-time homebuyers and seniors can afford housing, and support workforce development. Flipping this seat is critical to flipping the Arizona House and the next step in securing a Democratic trifecta in this battleground state.
