Siobhan McIntyre's is the Democrat candidate in this district. Her campaign priorities are a strong mix of rural Kansas pragmatism and progressive values: "I'm not a career politician — I'm someone who believes in listening, rolling up my sleeves, and working hard to get things done for the people I care about."
*She supports reproductive healthcare access, expanding KanCare (Medicaid), legalizing marijuana, and increasing access to mental health care.
*She is committed to expanding healthcare services in underserved areas and addressing the rising cost of care, particularly for rural communities.
*She wants to invest in schools and ensure District 79 students have the resources they need to succeed.
*She supports common-sense solutions to lower property taxes as a top kitchen-table priority.
*She frames herself as a tireless advocate for rural Kansas, committed to making sure the unique challenges of rural communities are heard at the state level rather than ignored.
*She emphasizes practical, bipartisan solutions focused on results rather than political games.
