Stacie Baker is a three-term At-Large Reynoldsburg City Councilmember and current Council President Pro Tempore. As a candidate for the Ohio State Senate, Baker has hands-on experience in local government and the transparent stewardship of taxpayer dollars, including service as Chair of the Reynoldsburg Finance Committee. In the Ohio Senate, Baker plans to advocate for stronger workforce training pipelines for students seeking high-paying jobs without a four-year degree. He also wants the Ohio General Assembly to fully fund the state’s share of the Cupp-Patterson school funding plan. Baker argues that proper state funding ensures adequate classroom resources and stops local homeowners from facing constant property tax levies. Baker also supports limiting private school vouchers and expanding early childhood education.
