Sen. Susan Collins has been a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship over her five terms in the Senate. The chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Collins cosponsored and voted for a resolution affirming U.S. support for Israel in the aftermath of Hamas' October 7th terrorist attack. Collins also voted for supplemental security assistance for the Jewish state this year.

Susan Collins was born into a family with a strong tradition of public service and commitment to Maine. She is a proven leader who is respected by colleagues on both sides of the aisle, is consistently ranked the most bipartisan Senator, and she has been recognized by her colleagues as one of the hardest working members of Congress. Susan has a long record of significant legislative accomplishments in such critical areas as health care, improving the economy and growing jobs in Maine, helping Maine’s small businesses thrive, education, national security, veterans, and helping older Americans.

Sportsman’s Alliance Executive Director David Trahan praised Collins’ work protecting Maine’s outdoor heritage, noting her support for the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Trahan also highlighted their work on recent federal gun safety legislation

“From community centers and public lands to roads, fisheries, conservation programs, and outdoor recreational opportunities, her leadership has benefited every corner of our state. The sporting traditions we cherish today and the opportunities we hope to pass down to future generations have been strengthened by her efforts,” said Trahan.
