Toni Kornegay Vaughn is running for the Alabama House of Representatives in District 45. She was unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 19. The Republican incumbent, Susan DuBose, won the general election in 2022 with 86% of the vote (there was not a Democratic candidate in the race). She says, “I want families to have access to affordable childcare so parents can work, and children can learn in safe, nurturing environments. I want healthcare to be within reach for every person, not a burden that keeps families awake at night.” Toni is a Christian and ally of our community.
