Democrat incumbent Zach Hall is running to retain his seat in the state House representing the 5th Legislative District. Hall was appointed to the seat in 2025 following Sen. Hunt's appointment to the state Senate. Hall previously served on the Issaquah City Council and is one of the youngest members currently serving in the House. Continuing his progressive track record from his time on the Issaquah City Council, Hall has been a reliable legislator during his first term in the state House. He voted in favor of several progressive bills, helping pass the historic Millionaires Tax, banning federal law enforcement from wearing face masks, and establishing requirements for individuals seeking law enforcement appointments. Hall currently serves on the Environment & Energy, Local Government, and Transportation committees. Following a successful first term in the Legislature, we recommend re-electing Zach Hall to continue representing the 5th Legislative District in the state House.
