I am an activist and grassroots organizer dedicated to the protection of human rights, especially in relation to environmental justice. I am currently a dual degree student at Sciences Po and UC Berkeley, studying politics.
As the fourth biggest economy in the world, California has the power to make waves in global climate policy efforts. We have made strides in preventing future emissions, but have yet to hold polluters accountable for their past ones, which are causing the most problems now. The California Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act is seeking to change that by forcing the worst polluters to pay their fair share for the climate damages they have caused.
