Universal ballot access
Forward advocates for fair, consistent ballot access nationwide. Current laws often block new voices; reforming these rules gives voters more real choices and breaks the status quo.
Open primaries
Forward supports open primaries as a way to curb partisanship and broaden voter participation. Allowing all voters, regardless of party affiliation, to take part in primaries encourages candidates to engage a wider, more representative range of voters.
Democratice reform
Forward sees systemic reform as essential. Problems like dark money, lobbying, and outdated infrastructure undermine trust. The goal: a system that rewards transparency, cooperation, and better outcomes for all.
Ranked-choice voting
The Forward Party supports ranked-choice voting to create a more representative and civil democracy. By letting voters rank candidates, it reduces the spoiler effect, encourages majority support, and promotes positive, coalition-building campaigns.
