I am an engineer by trade and I often think in terms of systems. As I do so in my job, I can't help but apply this systems thinking to our political system. I want to research what politicians and policies will most improve our healthcare system, energy system, and environment.
I’ve dedicated my career to developing renewable energy systems for both transportation and the electric grid. If we’re serious about reducing our dependence on oil and natural gas, we need to dramatically scale up the manufacturing and deployment of clean energy technologies.
But this doesn’t happen on its own. Without stable, bipartisan policy support, renewable energy deployment stalls—financing dries up, domestic manufacturing struggles, and innovation slows. Right now, policies and incentives shift too frequently to support long-term planning.
While oil and gas have historically contributed to U.S. energy security, they are finite resources with well-known environmental consequences. Renewable energy offers a sustainable alternative that strengthens both our economy and national security.
That’s why I believe in educating Americans about how our energy systems work—and how renewables benefit us economically, environmentally, and geopolitically. With the right understanding and leadership, I believe a strong majority of Americans will support a stable policy framework that helps the clean energy sector thrive.
Location: While this is a national issue, I’m focused on influencing my own community, state, and region first. I’m originally from New Jersey and currently live in Princeton Junction. My career has taken me across the world, designing renewable energy products and scaling up manufacturing, but my roots and focus are here.
New Jersey already offers attractive incentives for solar deployment, but there’s still a long way to go. We lack significant domestic manufacturing, and solar adoption hasn’t yet reached its full potential. Our electrical grid grows more outdated each year, even as our energy demands—especially from electric vehicles—continue to rise. We must modernize the grid to handle this future.
Beyond the grid, we also need to rethink mobility. More local transit options, especially electrified public transit, are essential for reducing emissions and increasing energy efficiency.
I’m committed to exploring how we can build more—through local manufacturing, workforce training, and infrastructure—and deploy more—with improved incentives, financing, and community education in New Jersey and across the East Coast.
There's only so much old growth forrest and the seeds that come from old growth forrest are most adapted to the region (and therefore precious ).
