En tu boleta
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, to require local boards of education to adopt policies requiring each public K-12 school to recite The Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag at the beginning of each school day; and to require local boards of education to adopt a policy authorizing student-initiated and student-led prayer. (Proposed by Act 2026-379)
Qué significa votar sí
A "yes" vote supports amending the Alabama Constitution to require public schools to:
conduct the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the school day; and
allow for student-initiated, student-led prayer at the beginning of the school day.
Schools are already having students learn and recite the Pledge. Schools already must allow students to pray. Republicans put this amendment on the ballot in hopes of scaring voters into thinking these things are under attack. They aren't. Let's not reward this stupid scare tactic.
