En tu boleta
Shall the expired previous voted millage increase in the tax limitations imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Lexington Township of 1 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), reduced to .9933 mills by required millage rollbacks, be renewed and increased to up to 1.4933 mills ($1.4933 per $1,000 of taxable value) and
levied for two (2) years (2026 through 2027 inclusive) for the purpose of road improvement, repair, and maintenance within the Township, raising an estimated $366,446.37 in the first year the millage is levied.
This is a specific dedicated millage for public roads purposes and funds raised may only be captured or used in cooperation with other local units of government taxing entities as allowed by law. The millage funds may be disbursed to multiple units of government service providers under agreements subject to change as the Township Board determines appropriate. Should this proposal be adopted?
