Literacy

Brown Kids Read is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fighting the literacy crisis and activating voters nationwide. Through nonpartisan civic education, we mobilize college students across the country to get engaged, stay informed, and make a difference together.

We exist to dismantle the literacy crisis by empowering college students to actively advocate for educational justice and diverse representation in local communities.

We are women in public service filling the gap in education in our communities. We use literacy, our voices, art, and compassion to raise a generation of thinkers who will care for our future generations.
