Thomas Ryan is running as a Democrat for his first term in the Michigan House of Representatives in the 72nd District. Ryan currently works as Clerk for the Village of Ortonville. In 2024, he was elected to the Holly Village Council. In each of these roles, he focuses on transparency and making sure local government serves the people well. He’s running for State House to do the same at the state level. If elected to the House, Ryan wants to eliminate tax incentives for data centers and reform funding formulas so that smaller communities get their fair share of resources. Ryan is running against Republican incumbent Mike Mueller. Mueller espouses right-wing views on many issues and has developed a conservative voting record in the legislature, including opposing bills that have expanded the rights of workers, women, and voters. He has also been endorsed by Right to Life of Michigan, an anti-choice organization. Thomas Ryan is the best choice in this race.
