Representative Cindy Abrams is an OEA ‘Friendly Incumbent’ seeking her fourth term representing the 29th Ohio House District that includes portions of western Hamilton County. In addition to serving as Chair of the House Public Safety Committee, Abrams is currently on the Commerce and Labor, Finance, and Local Government Committees. Representative Abrams has consistently supported public education and public employees in the Ohio General Assembly. She supports full funding of the Fair School Funding Plan and strong collective bargaining rights for public employees and stood up for higher education public employees by voting no on the ‘Higher Education Destruction Bill’ that limits collective bargaining rights in higher education. As a retired police officer, Abrams understands the role of defined benefit pensions in public service careers and is an advocate for strongly funded public pension systems.
