Rep. Debra Entenman is running for re-election to Position 1 in the 47th Legislative District. Before running for office, she served as the district director for U.S. Rep. Adam Smith. Entenman currently serves on the Renton Technical College Board of Trustees and previously served on the boards of Neighborhood House and Kent Youth and Family Services. Entenman has a consistent record of working to improve police accountability by creating an independent civilian office to investigate law enforcement incidents involving the use of force. In previous years, she also sponsored bills to provide youth with access to attorneys if contacted by law enforcement, limit facial recognition technology, and expand access to assistance for vulnerable families in need. Continuing her track record in public safety, Entenman was the primary sponsor of a bill to improve local funding options for law enforcement while implementing mandatory training requirements for de-escalation and compliance with the Keep Washington Working Act. She has also been a key advocate for educational equity, recently sponsoring a bill to expand eligibility for tuition waivers for high school completion programs. In the past couple of years, Entenman has voted favorably on a number of progressive priorities, including affordable housing and progressive revenue. She voted to secure rent stabilization, promote transit-oriented development, and approve the historic Millionaires Tax. Debra Entenman has been a consistent progressive voice in the Legislature, using her position to improve the quality of life for all Washingtonians. She deserves your vote to serve another term representing the 47th Legislative District.
