Representative Jason Stephens is a State Representative to the 93rd District and former Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is an OEA ‘Friendly Incumbent’ seeking his fourth full term in the Ohio House representing Gallia, Jackson, and Lawrence Counties. Representative Stephens is an ardent supporter of public schools and educators. While serving as Speaker of the House, he led a bi-partisan majority that worked to implement the second phase of full funding for the Fair School Funding Plan and helped to pass across-the-board increases to the state minimum teacher salary schedule. Representative Stephens stands strong on the importance of supporting the voice of educators by defending collective bargaining rights, which includes standing up for higher education employee collective bargaining rights by voting NO on the ‘Higher Education Destruction Bill.’
