Joseph serves Washington County residents in the House of Representatives starting in 2023. He serves on the Education Standing Committee, the Revenue and Taxation Standing Committee, for which he is the Vice-Chairman, and the Transportation and Infrastructure Sub-Appropriations Committee. Joseph and his wife Robbie have five children, a son and daughter-in-law, with another on the way, and one granddaughter. They’ve raised their children right here in Washington County. He owns his own investment advisory firm and loves to serve this wonderful community. Some highlights of his time in the legislature are: - Created a state sovereignty fund to put Utah on a path to be financially independent of the federal government. - Made significant inroads to financial accountability of higher education, saving taxpayers over $10 million just in the first year. - Provided a tool for local governments’ use to shift some of the financial burden for Emergency Medical Services from local citizens to tourists. - Helped reduce income tax every year. - Helped reduce tax on Social Security Income.
