“LGBTQ+ voters should support my candidacy because I will use my elected office to protect them. I will vote against discriminatory bills, I will treat them, like all my constituents, with dignity and respect, and I will make space for LGBTQ+ people on my team at all times. My campaign manager is a lesbian woman who will go on to be my Chief of Staff should I be elected. The LGBTQ+ community will have a voice through my office. Additionally, as a healthcare provider, I know how critical it is for trans people in particular to have access to the healthcare that they need, and I will be an advocate for that in the state legislature.”
