Robyn BirdRobyn Bird

Robyn Lee Bird personifies Port Richmond and the rowhouse neighborhoods of the River Wards. Four generations in the same Port Richmond rowhouse. A family that came from Poland through Ellis Island and never stopped serving—from World War I and Omaha Beach to Iraq and today’s firehouses, service runs deep in Robyn’s blood. Like too many families in our community, Robyn faced devastating loss at an early age. At just 15 years old, she lost her father to the heroin crisis. That hardship shaped her life and taught her a lasting truth of the River Wards: we take care of our own.
