As the chairman of the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committee, Tarvin has done great work protecting taxpayers and working toward more accountability and transparency in how the state spends taxpayer dollars. Tarvin is also an advocate of the REINS Act, a national priority, and co-sponsored legislation in 2026 to sunset outdated regulations (House Bill 1078) and end the big government practice of judicial deference (House Bill 1247). Additionally, Tarvin has a record of supporting parents and kids by voting for reforms that empower parents to have more authority over their child’s education.
