She began her political career in 2018, winning a district that had been in GOP hands for over two decades. She’s become a leading voice for science in Georgia politics, fighting for abortion rights, voting rights, and equity in healthcare access and education.
Clark has a long record of standing up to Republicans, including calling out Gov. Brian Kemp for fabricating public health statistics at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and fought efforts by the Georgia School Superintendent to defund AP African American history courses.
