Katie Crosby's story starts in a North Carolina mill town where her dad lost his job when the local mill shut down and her mom started a business just to keep the family afloat.

She became a Levine Scholar, taught in a Title I school, worked with the unhoused in Charlotte, then taught abroad in Peru and South Africa before landing in real estate in South Carolina. This isn't her first run either. She's lost before and is running again anyway, which is exactly the kind of person you want showing up in Columbia.
