Amendment 3: Prohibit Abortion and Gender Transition Procedures for Minors Amendment
This amendment reverses the reproductive rights Missouri voters passed in 2024.
Locks in limits and hands politicians a toolbox to keep tightening the screws on women's reproductive rights at any time.
Twelve-week cap plus reporting requirement for rape or incest. The survivor is forced to jump through extra hoops before getting care: first report the assault to law enforcement, then get official documentation proving it was reported.
Special admitting requirements, licensing traps and hyper-regulation under the guise of "health & safety" which shuts down clinics.
It bans abortions based on disability diagnosis, second-guessing private decisions between parents and physicians.
Sneaks in anti-trans lanuage by lumping in gender-transition procedures which is already illegal in Missouri. It's ballot candy.
Amendment 6: Initiative and Referendum Powers and Legislative Change Requirements Amendment
Expand the initiative and referendum petition process - making it a citizen's fundamental right
Allow courts to revise ballot language to be clear, true and unbiased through lawsuits.
Preserve the existing majority vote and signature requirements for initiative & referendum petitions.
Prevents politicians to put an issue back on the ballot that citizens have already voted into law.
Defend majority rule by requiring approval from 80% of both chambers to send any changes back for a vote of the people.
Prevents politicians from restricting the initiative petition process that Missourians have had since 1908.
Keeps the power with Missouri voters. Regular folks stay in the driver's seat, and big donors don't get the keys.
Amendment 7: Missouri Creation of Show-Me Prosperity Investment Fund for State Tax Reduction and Elimination Amendment
Establish a permanent public endowment fund
Creates an endowment fund but provides no revenue source to finance it - leaving taxpayers to fill the gap.
Diverts money away from public schools, higher education, healthcare, corrections, and many other essential programs - with no surplus available.
The legislature would be forced to redirect taxpayer dollars - ties Missouri's financial future to Wall Street and the profits of America's largest corporations.
Current taxpayers would be financing a fund that will not benefit Missourians for generations.
Caps withdrawals at 3% annually - keeping large amounts of taxpayer money locked away and unavailable during emergencies.
The amendment says income tax could be eliminated & can't be re-added - but if their fund collapses, lawmakers can bring income tax back.
That means you lose the money you paid into their fund AND still get hit with income tax again.
Amendment 8: Require Election of County Sheriffs Amendment
The hidden powers behind the "Election of County Sheriff" Amendment
All counties already elect their sheriff but this locks sheriffs into the Constitution as a "fundamental right" - making the office harder to reform and harder to remove.
Makes sheriffs nearly impossible to remove - removal would require a writ of quo warranto filed by the Missouri Attorney General, not local officidfals or voters.
Gives sheriffs elevated, constitution-level authority in law enforcement - strengthening their role and limiting voters rights & flexibility.
Shifts power upward to the Attorney General - giving unlimited authority over local sheriff removal decisions.
Communities will not have the ability to address misconduct or mismanagement by their sheriff.
It will shield sheriffs who misuse their authority, engage in misconduct, or fail to meet professional standards - makes it hard for communities to get transparency or accountability.
The amendment doesn't solve a problem that current Missouri law doesn't already solve.
Proposition A: Congressional Map Referendum
Locks in a map that dilutes rural voting power by stretching districts that lump small towns into far-off urban or suburban areas. Plain version: rural communities get swallowed up by bigger ones.
The shapes aren't about keeping counties or communities together - serving who drew the map, not Missourians.
Cuts through natural community lines - counties, school districts, hospital service areas - making it harder for local voices to be heard.
Prop A constitutionalizes the map. That means fixing it later becomes nearly impossible.
Missourians deserve districts that reflect real communities with fair representation - not political strategy.
The new map does not meet Missouri's constitution for drawing congressional and legislative districts to be compact, contiguous, and as nearly equal in population as possible.
