Why join this voting group?

I started Motherhood for Good to help women connect the dots between policy and everyday life in order to turn that insight into action. Over the past several years, that has grown into a community of thousands across Wisconsin and around the country, with a growing library of content and resources to help you stay informed without the overwhelm.

Here's what we're about here:

🏛️ The basics: rights, freedom, accountability
We expect leaders to respect the rule of law, uphold democratic institutions, and protect the rights that allow people to participate fully in civic life including due process, free speech, voting, and peaceful protest. No more funding for ICE to continue terrorizing communities without any accountability.

🏡 Funding things most families rely on

• Public education

• Child care and early childhood education

• Food assistance and nutrition programs

• Public health systems and medical research

• Affordable housing solutions

🏥 Healthcare that prioritizes people, not profit

• Breaking down insurance barriers that allow coverage denials to override medical judgment.

• Ensuring real access to care by protecting rural hospitals, maintaining access to emergency rooms and OB care, gender-affirming care, mental health resources and vaccinations.

• Tackling the maternal mortality crisis and improving care through pregnancy and postpartum

👶🏽 Keeping kids safe

• Gun violence prevention

• Strong online safety standards

• Medical regulations based on evidence-based, scientific data

• Prioritized investigations and prosecution for crimes against children

🏭 Holding wealthy corporations accountable
Tax the billionaires their far share, enforce antitrust laws and policies that hold powerful corporate actors accountable, and put workers back at the center of the economy.

Recommended candidates must have a strong policy framework to manage Data Center buildouts. Work to revert tax incentives and ensure proposals put local communities in control.

🌱 Protecting our environment for future generations
Enforce regulations that prevent pollution of our air, soil, and water, protect public lands, and hold corporate polluters accountable. Invest in clean, renewable energy and a responsible transition away from fossil fuels.
