Connecticut Attorney General

Attorney General Tong understands that protecting public safety requires both strong laws and a willingness to defend them. At a time when gun safety measures across the country continue to face challenges in the courts, Connecticut needs an attorney general who will continue standing up to the gun lobby and fighting to preserve the progress that has been made.

Good luck to all of our candidates:

Governor: State Senator Ryan Fazio

Lt. Governor: Matthew Corey

Attorney General: John Bolton

Comptroller: Jen Tooker

Secretary of the State: Peter Lumaj

Treasurer: Fred Wilms

“During their years in office, these incumbents have demonstrated a genuine commitment to working alongside educators and standing up for Connecticut’s public schools. They have fought to protect critical federal funding by challenging actions that threatened our students, worked to safeguard the retirement security educators have earned, and consistently supported policies that strengthen public education. Their leadership has made a meaningful difference for educators, students, and communities across our state, and they have earned our endorsement for another term,” said Dias.

John Bolton is a Connecticut attorney, Westport Planning & Zoning commissioner, and the Republican candidate for Attorney General. The son of a longtime auditor with the Connecticut State Auditors of Public Accounts, John learned the values of transparency and accountability at the dinner table. He is running for Attorney General because the office has drifted from its constitutional mission, and as Attorney General, he will refocus it on the concerns that actually affect Connecticut families — affordability, healthcare, public safety, and accountability in state government.
