Proposition A is a collection of various technical fixes to the City’s charter. For the planned merger of the Department of Building Inspections and the Planning Department to be successful, the Building Inspection Commission (which oversees the Department of Building Inspection) will need to be updated as well. SF YIMBY endorses Proposition A because it gives the Board the flexibility to make those updates instead of requiring yet another ballot measure.
