For nearly 15 years, I was a dialysis social worker and saw the impossible challenges rural Texans face accessing prescriptions drugs, transportation and life-sustaining treatment. I have worked as a therapist at an immigration detention facility. My career has given me a firsthand understanding of the challenges facing marginalized communities and the importance of having effective programs and services to meet those needs. I support public schools & expanding rural healthcare for all.
